The Walkin' Wheels Wheelchair for Dogs
The Walkin' Wheels wheelchair is suitable for dogs with hind leg weakness that tire easily when walking, or for dogs that have lost the use of their hind legs completely. These chairs are so flexible, as you have the option of having your dogs paws up or down depending on the severity of your dogs condition. Your dog will use its front legs to move, explore and play, while its back legs are lightly touching the ground, or if preferred safely held up in stirrups.

To create a Quad 4-wheel Fully Supportive wheelchair which is designed for dogs who have weakness in their front legs as well in their rear legs. The Walkin Wheels dog wheelchair is the perfect solution for dogs with more serious mobility issues, as it will give your dog the exercise it needs to live a happy active life. The optional Walker Active Boots are indoor Outdoor boots designed to protect your dogs paws and claws from scrapes and injuries. If your dog is very immobile on the rear legs, you may want a WW Lift from or WW lift Rear Harness. These harnesses support your dog's front or hind/ or both combined while walking, and can also be used instead of the Leg Rings in the Walkin Wheels wheelchair. This saves time and upset with constantly changing harnesses.
It is so important to keep dogs walking independently as long as possible, and with the option of having the legs down but supported, you can keep your dogs muscles working, even if for short periods to prevent further muscle wasting. Wheelchair Sizing:
The Fold of the Flank (FOF) is a thin piece of skin that connects the dog's upper rear leg to his body, very similar to the skin between your thumb and index finger. Measure from the ground up, while your dog is standing or lying sideways. Do not extend your dog's leg if lying down, measure it in the natural position as if your dog was standing up normally.

How does a dog toilet in the wheelchair?
This is the most frequently asked question by customers. The answer is that they just get used to it. When the wheelchair is fully set up and the dog is used to walking in it, the dog will learn to toilet naturally standing up. The most important thing you can do it to reassure them that it's okay the first time that they toilet in the wheelchair so that it's a positive experience for them.
